• Regie Routman -If you haven't had a chance to read one of her books or hear her speak you need to. Her teaching strategies make so much sense and have helped me immensely. Writing Essentials
• Lucy Calkins-The Art of Teaching Writing -Another great read for any teacher who wants to start using writing workshops or improve the workshops you are already doing.
• Because Writing Matters by National Writing Project and Carl Nagin -This book shares important research on the importance of writing.
